Krishna's pastimes as an infant - Question from Ananda Vrndavana Campu. dauji - Wed, 12 Jan + Dear Vaisnavas, In Mahanidhi Swami's presentation of Srila Kavi-karnapura's Ananda Vrndavana Campu (translated by Bhanu and Subhag Swamis), there is mention in the first chapter that Krishna's killing of the various asuras and his "babyhood" pastimes occur only in Gokula Vrndavana. I am reading Ananda-vrndavana-campu by Srila Kavi Karnapura and that is giving me great happiness. To chant Krishna's names and to hear His pastimes is the only sustenance of devotees. While reading this book I am chanting a favourite verse of mine written by Kavi Karnapura, which he spoke while still an infant to Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Kṛṣṇa Swallows the Munjatavi Fire Once upon a time while Damodara, Balarama, Sridama, Sudama, Subala and the other gopas rested beside the Yamuna, the cows, attracted by the fresh sprouted grass. Why did Srila Rupa Goswami do this? The reason is a very deep siddhanta (conclusive philosophical truth). Srila Kavi Karnapura is a very great devotee and he composed Sri Ananda Vrndavana Campu. In this book he has described the pastimes of Lord Krsna from His birth up to rasa-lila and the Divine Couple's swing pastimes, and he stopped there.
Vraja Holi In Ananda Vrndavana Campu (Chapter Summary) By:Mahanidhi Swami During the 40 days that Holi is celebrated in Vraja (Vasant Pancami-Gaura Purnima), Nanda Maharaja gives Krsna and Balarama leave from cowherding to play Holi. Why did Srila Rupa Gosvami do this? The reason is a very deep siddhanta (conclusive philosophical truth). Srila Kavi Karnapura is a very great devotee and he composed Sri Ananda Vrndavana Campu. In this book he has described the pastimes of Lord Krsna from His birth up to rasa-lila and the Divine Couple’s swing pastimes, and he stopped there.
